A new report has found some Chinese- made products can be found on Canadian shelves and that consumers are buying them as a way to protect their health.
The report, published Monday by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA), found that in some cases, the products could be contaminated with bacteria and other contaminants.
“It’s just a question of when it’s going to be dangerous to consumers,” said Jennifer Smith, a CCPA policy analyst.
“The health of consumers and the environment is a really important consideration when it comes to what’s being produced.”
Smith and CCPA’s executive director, Mark Schindler, said the report’s findings are particularly troubling for consumers in China.
They said the Chinese government is trying to convince consumers to keep buying Chinese-manufactured products to make it harder for its government to control the countrys exports.
Chinese government tries to convince Chinese consumer to buy new clothes and shoes on Canadian shores ‘China is trying so hard to convince people to keep eating Chinese products to keep the Chinese Communist Party alive and well.
‘China has tried to convince Canadians to buy their products on the mainland, and they have succeeded in that.’
“They’re telling them, we can make it easier for you to buy more Chinese products on your own terms, so if you want a new car, you can buy it here, you’ll pay less and you won’t have to worry about the Chinese company paying taxes on it,” said Schindling.
“But the Chinese companies have actually built in a way that this is actually not a good deal for the Chinese consumer.”
In China, the government requires all manufacturers to report every piece of Chinese-produced products to the country’s customs office.
The documents are kept secret and they can only be accessed by Chinese companies.
The CCPA said it obtained a copy of the China-supplied documents through Freedom of Information and Privacy Act requests.
The reports findings show some Chinese products can easily be found in Canadian stores.
They include a T-shirt made by the company Hushu that says, “Made in China.”
A poster in the window of a Chinese factory shows a T. rex on the label.
Hushus logo is on the bottom of the back.
The T-shirts, which have been banned in Canada since 2006, are now available online in a variety of colours.
The ads in the store say the clothing is made in China, and the company said the T-Shirt has a manufacturing plant in Guangzhou.
The products also include a Chinese-branded handbag that says “Made In China.”
Some of the T. Rexs in the advertisement say the product is made of tiger fur, tiger wool and tiger bone.
The company said it is selling its T.
Rex and tiger clothing online through its website and through retailers.
Another ad in the catalog of the Hushue clothing company says the products are made in Guangdong province, in the south-east of China.
The advert is accompanied by a message from the company, “We’re not just Chinese, we’re from the south of China too.”
“We think that this kind of stuff is not good for the health of the consumers and not good at all for the environment,” said Smith.
The CCPAs report said that while Chinese-sourced clothes and footwear are popular in China and that the Chinese Government has tried its best to convince its citizens to buy the products, there are some concerns. “
There’s no place for these kind of products in the Chinese economy.”
The CCPAs report said that while Chinese-sourced clothes and footwear are popular in China and that the Chinese Government has tried its best to convince its citizens to buy the products, there are some concerns.
“Chinese-made goods have been found in some Canadian markets to be potentially contaminated with harmful bacteria and/or other contaminants,” the report states.
“We do not believe that these contaminated products pose any risk to Canadian consumers.”
Smith said that the problem is getting worse and that Chinese companies are using cheap materials to make products that are less safe.
“They are trying so much to convince us that it’s all about protecting consumers,” she said.
“And the fact is, we don’t know whether the Chinese factories are doing their job, or whether they’re using poor quality materials, or how they’re actually using those materials.”
The report also found some of the items were being sold online without the labels or warnings printed on the products.
“Many of these products are being sold in a fashion where they are not on the shelves, but are on websites that are selling them, and it’s not a product that is tested or certified by the Food and Drug Administration,” said Chris LeBlanc, the co-author of the report.
“When you see ads on the internet for these items, you have to be concerned about that, and you have no idea if it’s safe or not.”
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said it has received complaints about some of these ads on its website.
