When GOP leader warns Trump not to win over GOP in 2020

The Republican National Committee chairman is warning Trump not only not to lose the 2020 presidential election but also to lose his party’s Senate majority in 2020.

During an appearance on CBS’ Face the Nation, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said Trump should not have “betrayed” Republicans in the 2016 presidential election.

Priebus said that when the party lost a Senate seat in Wisconsin, he felt “a little bit sorry for those Republicans.”

Priebus said he would not make any further predictions about how Trump will win the 2020 election.

But Priebus said if he was “to be honest,” he would expect Trump to “betail” Republicans by running as an outsider.

He added that Republicans should be “willing to take on Donald Trump in the 2020 primary.”

Priebus added that Democrats should also “take on Donald Donald” in 2020 and he hoped that “the Democrats have the ability to do that.”

“I think they have a real opportunity to do so,” Priebus said of the 2020 race.

Priebus said Trump’s “betailing” of Republicans in 2016 helped create the Trump era and said Trump was “more of a politician than an elected official” who should be more responsible for the party’s future.

Trump said last week he “never saw any signs” that Republicans would “fight harder” in a 2020 race against Democrat Jon Ossoff.

He said that “Democrats are the ones who are going to take over.”
